Most AI tools are priced like American startups. ₦40,000 a month for ChatGPT Pro means almost no student in Nigeria can actually use them. The free tiers are limited, the paid tiers are unreachable, and the experience is built for an audience that doesn't look like us.
WadeScribe started as a personal tool. One student trying to transcribe lectures, write assignments, and prep for exams using AI — without losing money to currency conversion every month. We made it work, then realized the entire campus needed it.
